He guards the Centers, and he occupies the space on the floor where a Center would. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, don't call it a goose because ESPN, NBA.com and Basketball-Reference said it is, use your own mind to call it what it is.

For the last 2 years he has definitely been a Center.

Don't listen to ESPN, he's truly a PF. McDyess and Bonner have been starting at C this year, Bonner started at C last year, Oberto and Elson started at C through the two seasons before that and Nesterovic started at C from that point back until the Admiral was still active.

Defensively he's a center, he guards the centers. Offensively he's a Center with power forward skills. Bonner and McDyess are either at the top of the 3 pt line or free throw line, where as Duncan will be where you expect your Center to be, in he paint or posting up near it.
