CDR not considered a core player in New Jersey anymore

Nets forward Chris Douglas-Roberts lost his starting spot to Jarvis Hayes earlier this week.

Douglas-Roberts is no longer considered a core player by New Jersey, sources told the New York Daily News.

The forward's outspokenness has annoyed the Nets.

Douglas-Roberts was averaging 17.2 points under coach Lawrence Frank, but has struggled since he was fired on Dec. 30.

He has been linked to the Grizzlies in rumors.

Frank obviously made a huge impact on him weather it was during the offseason or training camp, and now that he is gone. I think he's having a hard time adjusting to a new coach since this is really his first time going through this in the NBA.

Nets could get some good value for him though, teams know what he is capable of and they be considering that when they trade for him. He won't go cheap, that's one thing for sure.

I think he's pretty good, I'll take him in Miami, I would give them Chalmers + more.

I still think the guy is a good asset for any team! Especially for someone like them!

well, when the guy can't hit his shots since late December, he's a horrible asset no matter who he is or what team he is on.

i dont think its his fault he has a coach that doesnt believe in him and doesnt play him the right spots....he is a huge asset still

But in the NBA, you should be able to play more then one or two postions. Thats what Kiki is doing with CDR, but it isn't working. So now that he doesn't fit, he needs to go.
