Default Orlando with Courtney Lee and Hedo instead of Carter

Basically undoing all the moves the Magic made last year and fast forwarding back to today, would the Magic be better off with Hedo and Lee, or was Carter THE missing piece?

Too soon to tell. Last year they made the finals, this year, they have 1 more round to go. If they win the championship then it's fair to say VC was the missing piece. If they fail, they would be in the same position as last year.

Well you can look at their style of play right now, how much they are winning by, and their chemistry. Sometimes teams play better than they did last year and end up losing sooner just because the opposing teams got even better.

True, well so far they're undefeated in the playoffs so that itself should tell you. But you have to look at the opponents they played compared to last year. Last year they played Boston and Cleveland in the postseason. This year, they've played the Bobcats and the Hawks. Not exactly the same level of opponents. They have yet to be challenged with VC and that's going to be huge down the stretch. Next series won't be a cake walk for them.

and they played the Sixers :/

but yes, they are much better with Carter, just because of what he is averaging right now and how far the Magic gotten, I don't think the Bobcats or Hawks were easy oppenents it's just that the Magic made it look so easy, if it was anyone else, I think their would of been a closer series.

Next series could decide it weather it's Cleveland or Boston, I think Stan Van Gundy is a much better coach then Doc Rivers and Mike Brown combined (which wouldn't be a good combo :/). Still both teams have the star power to beat Orlando, the ECF should be the most interesting series ever since the Cavs @ Pistons in 07.
