IBA- The Forming of a New League

Ok, so I've been super bored lately spending my summer in a town with pretty much nobody here and nothing to do, so I am forming a new basketball league, the IBA (Independent Basketball Association), which will be a mix of past and present players. I have a good simulation site that will let me form my own teams and simulate the games. If I have only 1 or 2 people that will actually follow this, that's fine by me since I really need something to do right now.

The IBA will start their inaugural season with 8 teams, but thoughts of possible expansion going into the near future. Each team will consist of 12 players. There will be 100 players that will be in the draft pool where 96 of them will be picked. Without further ado, here are your 8 IBA teams (I have the team logos, but I can't get them on here right now):

Baltimore Shock- Johnnydollaz

Milwaukee Mustangs- MilwaukeeBaller

Seattle Sheriffs- Chitownhero

Miami Maniacs- Johnnydollaz

Bay Area Blue Claws- JH27

Nashville Trojans- MilwaukeeBaller

Philadelphia Rams- Chitownhero

Grand Rapids Sabercats- JH27

As a nice twist, each team will be owned by a former NBA player. I will try and make this league as entertaining as I possibly can.

That's why I hinted there may be expansion in the near future, possibly after year 1.

Ok, I don't think I explained things well. This was just something for me to do since I was bored, where I was just going to draft players on teams and then simulate the games and come up with interesting storylines for everyone to read.

I've gotten a couple pm's with guys thinking they could run teams. That wasn't what I initially planned on doing, but if I can get 8 people, I think it would be more interesting for each person to run their own team, where they can choose their owner (any former NBA player not in the draft pool who is still alive), draft their own players, etc.

So with that said, let me hear if anyone would be interested and tell me what team you want. I will take the Mustangs unless we get 8, then I'll give up my team.
