Ray Allen is rumored to have received multiple offers major contending teams, but is seeking more than the mid level exception and a starting role. Despite turning 36 recently, he feels he can play 30+ minutes a game. As he has started nearly every game he's played in his entire career, and averaging 37 minutes per game, Ray feels a bench role/sixth man role would be too diminishing.
Carl Landry requests that the Raptors please play him in the sixth man role as specified when signing his contract.
As does Shane Battier.
Derrick Brown requests the Miami Heat play him in the 2nd SG spot as he as promised.

Carl Landry and Derrick Brown voiced their complaints once again. If the respective teams don't comply with their promise, they would like to be traded where they can have their promises honored.
As the trade deadline approaches, it appears several teams are making moves to solidify their teams and position themselves for a healthy playoff run, with the Pacific Division teams being especially active. Trades have continued overnight as the phones ring for nearly every GM in the league. We'll see how it all shakes out with the deadline looming tomorrow.
With Marcin Gortat, Carmelo Anthony, Boris Diaw, Thad Young, and Zach Randolph, the Knicks suddenly have a very crowded front court. Each of them has voiced their preference to remain starters, and we'll see how Knicks coach Mickey handles the distribution of minutes.

It looks like Boris Diaw is the odd man out, with coach disregarding Diaw's contract promise and having him back up newly acquired Zach Randolph.
With a starter clause still in his contract, Jason Kapono wasn't pleased about being pushed down to a 3rd string role with the Suns.
Both Diaw and Kapono publicly voiced displeasure with their respective teams.
On another note, Marcus Camby wishes his name would be spelled right.
The German Wunderkind might be taking his trademark fadeaway jumpshot to the Eastern Conference. Trade rumours surround Dallas’ star forward Dirk Nowitzki as the team tries to recover from a dismal 36-win season and return to playoff contention. While observers may say that he is needed by the Mavs to get back to the playoffs, his $21,000,000 price tag makes him a luxury that a team that posted a loss last year may not be able to afford. Team sources indicate that there is little but serious interest in the 7-foot power forward, most of which coming from the Central Division. The Dallas GM doesn’t deny the fact that Dirk is being shopped around, but he insists that he isn’t going to trade his superstar just to get rid of his salary – if there is a trade, it will be one that is will still help the Mavs get back to the postseason.
In one of the most loaded PG free agent classes ever, teams are scrambling to make their cities welcome to the likes of Chris Paul, Derrick Rose and Deron Williams. Who will land with what team? One of the trio is rumored to have three max offers on the table for him to choose. Several teams have lots of cap space and are in good shape to acquire a max-player. We'll see the proceedings tomorrow night!
The competition for Derrick Rose has dwindled to 2 teams. Rose hasn't made a decision on either and will likely be waiting until he sees which team is in better shape before choosing.
Deron Williams and Tim Duncan haven't received much interest, but they expect to, once other players at their positions begin to sign. Both are seeking big deals.
With Oden and Horford signing, the center market has gone down, leaving Nene has the only elite. He will be hoping to receive several offers.
