    Default Strasburg Returning Soon?

CHICAGO -- Stephen Strasburg will throw a bullpen session Tuesday in Washington before making his second rehab start on Friday for Class A Potomac at Pfitzner Stadium.

The young phenom had his first rehab start Sunday for Class A Hagerstown, pitching 1 2/3 innings while allowing a run with three strikeouts.

Strasburg is hoping to pitch in his first Major League game of the season in September. The last time he pitched in a big league game was on Aug. 21, 2010, against the Phillies before undergoing Tommy John surgery.

^ exactly there out of the playoff picture they should just rest him, and he'll be at full go next year.

Nah, I disagree with that. If he's healthy with full certainty, they need to pitch him to see where he's at.

It usually takes over a year to get back full from Tommy John Surgery and its been what last august? he still needs a month to rehab, then pitch around after that

Every person is different. I'm not saying rush him. I'm saying if the doctors have full certainty that he's healthy, you gotta pitch him to see where he's at. Personally, I think the Nationals doctors have done a terrific job in keeping him away from setbacks. If they want to pitch him September, I'd say go for it and see how he lines up against ML hitting.

I guess so, i just think he should sit all season, or atleast not bring him to the MLB yet, let him rehab a few more weeks, then let him play in the minors to rehab and get him in pitching shape but he shouldn't come back to the majors yet its not worth it on any level
